THE AWESOMEST F*CKING BAND THAT EVER EXISTED IN THE HISTORY OF F*CKING AWESOMENESS

I just realized that I don't know how many Orger's are fellow Tenacious D (Jack Black, Kyle Glass, Dave Grohl, & Various Musicians) fans.

Anyone who has truly listened 2 their songs (regardless of whether they agree with their style of humor) knows that they write goods songs, and have a very talented and diverse band. music

Their self-titled debut, with such wonderful songs as "Tribute" "Wonderboy" "Dio" "Double-team"(very funky) & "Explosivo", has rocked the socks off of critics and rock fans alike.

I'll admit their second CD (PICK OF DESTINY) doesn't stack up 2 their debut writing-wise, but it still has a few very good and very funny songs.

Any loyal followers of the D in the house? headbang

I saw them in concert earlier this year and they were awesome. It's just a bit of fun.

I dig em. A friend and I had a Tenacious D "tribute band" if you will in college. I preferred a lot of the versions of the songs from the HBO show though. They had to edit a lot of things when they did the album because of copyright infringement which sucks because that Stairway To Heaven breakdown in "Tribute" was awesome!

Love em.

Thought first album was phenom. Second albums don't own but the songs they played on SNL just didn't rock my socks off.

The first album for me is perfect, great music and exceptionally funny bits.

Just remember who wrote it..... me..
Music is the best...

One of my friends is in love with them, I have to say that my opinion of them, and of jack black has gone from indifference to severe irritation over time, in fact "Fuck her gently" has got a solid place in my top ten least favorite songs of all time....so no I'm not a fan lol

On a larger note I don't really go for music for which humor, irony or camp is its primary ingredient, especially really immature or exaggerated or contrived humor which I find Tenacious D to be. Anyway, not trying to shit on them for those that do like them, and maybe I just don't "get" them yet.

biggrin JB and KG!!!!!

I'm a fan, at least of all the early stuff....Jack's voice is perfect for that !! And I dig Kyle's guitar playing....The HBO series was hilarious!
