wtf is poolparty.com and how the hell do they know?
but anyway, if true, this news is both cool and sucks at the same time. and i don't know why.

yeah, it seems weird for her own album, when she doesn't do them (albums, that is) very often.

Agreed. I'm listening to "Bare" right now.. She's so powerful, crisp, clear on her own... can't imagine these duets/collaborations. love the other artist's mentioned, just can't hear this. It could turn out good.. my phone is heavy

I just saw this over at DM. I love Annie, and I'm a big Madge fan too, but a collaboration?!
I agree with Anx...Annie should just do her own stuff IMHO. Ah well, very much just a rumor at this point! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

I think she should call the album Rave Un2 the Joy Anntastic.

yeah, it seems weird for her own album, when she doesn't do them (albums, that is) very often. It's even more of a tangent than an album comprised entirely of covers, definitely. Sounds like she wants to be fly. Next Michelle Branch, Rob Thomas, Everlast, and Wyclef will be on board. She should try and get Nelly Furtado and Beyonce to guest too!

In all fairness, I think an all duets album could be really interesting from her. She pulled of Medusa with ease. Why not duets?

And everything she endorses has always been awesome, so why would this be any different? She wants to prove that she's terrific in all capacities, never one to rely on a safety zone. I found out from a book that Sinestra is Italian for 'left' (as opposed to right). It was in Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. So that b-side must translate to 'The Left'...but most fans know it translates to pure evil. [Edited 5/1/07 19:49pm]

Duets albums rarely work... BUT in fairness to Annie, she has been great typically in duets. Her performance of Under Pressure with Bowie at the Freddie Mercury tribute was amazing. And she stood toe to toe with the Queen of Soul herself on "Sisters are Doin' It For Themselves." "Adrian" with Elvis Costello...
So we'll see. The fact that Madonna is involved raises the profile of the project by a huge margin....

I mostly just don't want her to come across as desperate. She never has before, and I don't know how this would be any different. But I don't want her selling point to be "features superstar collabos by...".

I hope she brings out the evil in all the guests. I want black eye make-up, satanic expressions, and definiely wigs and feather. It's all about the fetish with Annie. Annie LIKE!

Rosie said she'd like to see Ann replace her on The View, and Ann said she'd love to! But there's a lot of other contenders, too, so I doubt she'd get it. Too many people hate her...
