Cam'ron issues apology for his statement

Just caught this on Anderson Cooper who originally did the interview where he said that he wouldnt turn in a serial killer living next door, he would just move away. This is part of all "stop snitchin" movement promoted by rappers like Cam'ron, Dipset and many others, but promoted by major corporations. Well the heat is on folks, Cam'Ron has kind of caused this whole Don Imus thing for rappers, who better hoipe sponsors dont drop out of media outlets and their labels because they will find themselves dropped just like Imus. Cam'ron issued the apology after stations and music chains were starting to threaten dropping all his product. And now John Walsh has joined the campaign too, and trust me you dont wanna fuck with the "amercia most wanted" guy.

I watched that segment of 60 Minutes and was disgusted at what Cam'ron and the others who are a part of this trend said, essentially Cam'ron said on air that he cares more about HIS MONEY and STATUS than he would about a person's life, and nothing was going to change his mind. The few fans of his and Busta Rhymes should really think twice about what they stand for, MONEY over People, are these the types of " Role Models " we want our young children to follow?

I wasnt really surprised by his original statement. I watched the interview and it just seemed to be someone that knew his statement would bring some heat onto himself. But as Cooper and Walsh pointed out, most of the artists involved with the whole "Stop snitchin" movement live in mansions in upstate new york, people like 50,camron,Busta, they all have nothing to do with "inner city" life that they "sell to".

nod hell yeah.

but the "stop snitchin" rappers are just rediculous. So you mean to tell me that your rep is that much more important than the art you are putting out?

So think about this:

Suppose Cam'ron, Lil' Kim and Busta Rhymes had children attending a college where one student went on a killing spree and their childrens' lives were lost in the tragedy. But in this instance, the killer was on the run but some others knew who the killer was and kept mum.....do you really think that they would respect that? You can't tell me for a second that neither of them would either would hire somebody or either be out hunting themselves for this killer AND anyone who knew of the killer's whereabouts.

It's easy to talk shit when it's not happening to you. These rappers are really not living in reality. I've lost tons of amount of respect from Busta Rhymes, I thought at least he was one of those in the industry who had a little bit of sense, but i see he doesn't. I was sort of shocked when he was playing the "i'm not snitchin'" role too.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Honestly i think the Busta shooting incident, which involved the bodyguard, and the CamRon shooting incident both were done by people they know, the same with Tupac and Biggie and whoever else. The reason no one has ever been caught in any of these shootings is that there is something deeper going on, this isnt like Mark Chapman shooting Lennon, there is something being covered up within these incidents and thats why no one talks.

I saw that 60 Minutes episode on Youtube. Cam'ron came across as a complete and utter mo'ron. Then I saw him getting fried by O'Reilly. Do they bring this idi'ot on tv to represent rappers, so that they can make out that all rappers are dumb? I can't otherwise understand why anyone would want to talk to give this numbskull airtime. I also think Busta Rhymes came out of it a lot worse - he has his friend's blood on his hands.

The thing that really annoys me is that rappers like Camron,Busta are making this like, they dont talk to Police because of brutality issues, and thats not the case. This comes down to you dont wanna talk, because you actually know something and are involved in something that caused your incidents, the fact that they are hiding behind a "police brutality issues" is a put down to those who have been victims of brutality.

You all are right about Cam'ron, but fear is a big reason people don't snitch. Decent, hard-working folks are trapped. They hate the crime in their neighborhood, but telling what you know will get you(or your family) shot. The sh!t is real.

I saw bits and pieces of the interview and enjoyed the hell out of it. They should let more of these rappers talk openly about their views on these major news channels and programs.

When they talk their dumb shit on their records, it influences the hell out of their young listeners and the people that suffer are the black communities that these crimes occur in. However, on a major news program or network, they are being exposed to a huge white audience that would never listen to shit hop to begin with. With the huge Imus controversy going on right now, this is the worst time for rappers to be talking their ignorant shit but they are too stupid to realize it. They are too busy trying to look like a big thug to their ignorant peers to realize that they are giving people who are against shit hop more and more ammunition to go after their record labels. Bring on all the rappers! Come on, let's hear some more of that dumb shit! Show us how big a thug you are! lol

My favorite part of the guys interview was when he said he would lose a big part of his audience if people thought he was a snitch and his record label wouldn't like it either. His dumb ass is telling people who to go after to kill shit hop. Come on Cam'ron, tell us some more! lol

Oops, so he apologized for his statement? His record company probably jumped all over his ass because the dumb ass was telling what time it really is without realizing what he was doing. lol

Well, the record labels wanted no-talent dumb asses they could manipulate but a dumb ass isn't very good when shit hits the fan. lol

Oh wait he has a record coming out on May 8th with his Dipset crew. So maybe all of his talk and apologies, is motivated by nothing else then sales! I would love to see someone with the balls to not carry the record, BET is already advertising it, so as usual BET/MTV all are big hypocrits.
