should Beyonce cover purple rain?? hi just thinkin of the grammy's when the purple one dueted with Beyonce and it got me thinkin,,,, should she do her own cover of purple rain?
she really was fantastic on stage with him, i'm sure he would give it to her. | |

Nobody should do a cover of "Purple Rain"... it isn't truly purple w/o Prince playing/singing it. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

i have 2 say i agree, although he has gr8 respect 4 her and i think if she wanted it he would give it 2 her but NOBODY can rock that song like him

not only should beyonce not cover the song but prince needs to stop adding gospel style backing vocals to the song (ala tamar and beyonce)...the song is great for its subtle yet prince keeps ruining it. i miss when prince believed in the power of subtly when it comes to backing vocals. That Grammy duet to me was not good at all, she has vocals but no skill as a singer yet, her vocals just didnt sound right with this sound and lets not even talk about "Lets go Crazy", this is similar to last year when Christina Aguilera dueted with Elton John on Bennie and Jets, good LORD! Once again, strong vocal but no clue about singing.
