Damn, they still got a CD club? I was in that around 1995 I'd say. Better catalogue than Columbia House from what I recall.

BMG is where I bought my Dream Street CD also.

And there is no more Columbia House. BMG bought them out.

my dad bought me the dream street cd in a sam goody circa 1988.

my friend got me the janet jackson cd at wherehouse for my 16th bday.

i say jj is eons better. dont stand another chance from dream street is great, funky shit but the rest of the album blows IMO.

i am not a huge fan of either runaway or twenty foreplay, and thus don't care if they're not on my iPod.

i think it's a crime that younger fans haven't been able to get "Control" on iTunes for so long. when are we gonna have a proper remaster of both "Control" and "RN1814?????" I'd love a janet boxset with those two, two discs chroicling the high points of TVR, janet., Damita Jo, 20 YO and a DVD of the janet. tour. Bring it! (Leave out All 4 U).
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Seems like a lot of casual/new fans are happy to roll with Design Of A Decade anyway.

Dream Street is one of the worst, if not THE worst, album I've ever heard, so it has no business being released!

Like hell!!!! I take it that you never heard the R&B/funk cult classic You Don't Stand Another Chance. I love that track. And THAT whole Dream Street album is a part of Janet's legecy, even if this album wasn't a crossover success like Control or RN1814.

BTW, I'm not piss with you for having a second opinion. I'm piss off with Universial because they have no respect for music history at all AFAIC.

I actually have Dream Street on CD. I'm a big Janet fan and have followed her for 18 years. But I found EVERYTHING on Dream Street to be dreadful. At least Janet Jackson had a few jams I liked. But this tragic album can be judged from its equally tragic cover, in my opinion.

I've been a member for over a year now. It's an excellent service (and it used to be $5.99/CD until this year). Even better, that means double discs are only $11.98. I can't recommend it enough for people who buy a lot of catalog CDs.

i prefer Dream Street to her first one. the songs on the first one are better, but the production is enough to put you to sleep. there's at least some life breathed into the songs on Dream Street.

J Dilla did a really cool beat with that song, but I can't remember who doesn't hate sampling on the org?

Now that's fair judgement. The album cover does look a little K-Mart-ish. lol

The sad thing is, I had a feeling I would hate it at first, but then somebody told me that all the songs sound like "R n B Junkie", so I got really excited, only to be majorly disappointed!

What about Dream Street? confused

The full "Dream Street" album and the remaining tracks that were missing from "Design of a Decade" have now been added for sale on the US version of iTunes.

With these two additions, Janet's full catalogue of albums is now available to purchase for the first time ever in digital format at the online store.
