her first single, Everybody, was released in October of 1982. So 2007 marks 25 years. Though this April thing is some made up bullshit, and I'm not sure what numbskull came up with April 24.

i believe she signed her contract with Sire in April.

still, it's jumping the gun to mark April 2007 as the 25th anniversary.

it's coming from Liz Rozenberg and on her offical website. Apprently the date has some meaning to her personally otherwise Liz wouldn't have issued the statement.

yes, but Liz seems to be under the impression that Everybody was released in April, not October.

Madge keeps a working diary that maintains everything she has done on each particular day, and goes back to the founding of Emmy. They prob didn't fact check when Madge said she wanted a statement issued or Madges new manager is confusing things.

The only Madonna album I ever enjoyed...

There isn't alot of acclaim for this album. But to me, it's her best album. Everything else sucks arse. Except for maybe this...

True Blue is pretty decent.

and this (although, it's very over-rated)...

Everything else, suck arse. Madonna as a whole is a very over-rated artist.

You're funny lol Trying to convince yourself that Madonna is whack and yet you admit that you enjoy some of her albums confuse

I only really enjoy the debut album. True Blue and Like a Prayer have some decent songs but I wouldn't say they are my favorite albums ever. For Madonna, they are good.

It's worth noting that even back then, she was evolving (a little) with each album. There is a huge difference between the debut album and 'Like A Virgin'.The debut album is mostly R&B/dance music.'Like A Virgin' is a New Wave-styled pop album with only a little R&B.'True Blue' is pure pop,but the songs are more mature and intropective ("Papa Don't Preach","Live To Tell").

However,I rarely listen to the first three Madonna albums.I think she made her greatest music in the 90s.

The First Album was more dance, and LAV was more mainstream.
