An age-old question: BSB vs. *NSYNC

A lot of fur started flying on the Prince boards when someone mistakenly said that Justin Timberlake was a Backstreet Boy.

I figure, let's open the floor here for an age-old debate.

Me, I've been a fan of BSB first and foremost. But I never cancelled *NSYNC out. I listened to both of them, they both had different strengths in different areas. BSB has just always been my #1 because they were the first group I ever got into.

I think NSYNC had more of a sense of humor and didn't take themselves so seriously. Meanwhile BSB were acting like their "Act"had been stolen. That was some good comedy.

BSB's music was more heartfelt.

*NSYNC's music is better to dance to.

BSB was a great group, and yes they are STILL recording no they did not break-up. Yes their albums are still selling and their albums are still going Gold and Platinum. N'sync was a piece of crap. Their just churned out the same crap they called music over and over. BSB, however, changed their syles as they got older. As they matured, so did their music which is why alot of their fans still listen to them. They took risks, had some failures, but definetly had more triumps than N'sync. BSB have more fans worldwide and their music, old and new, is still being played. The only thing N'synce is remembered for is the Justin and Britney thing, Justin's hair, and the other member who came out gay a few months ago. BSB will ALWAYS BE BETTER than N'sync.

Yes, they are coming out with a new album this year and there will be a tour, and NO they don't keep pushing the date further away.

I really couldn't stand ANY of either group's songs.

Very rare exception:
"Girlfriend" featuring Nelly

And I think that was either NSync's final single or damn near close. That is a cool Neptunes beat.

hmmm so based on that I would have to say NSync.

I never thought that BSB took themselves that seriously.

*NSYNC dances better.

But BSB are better because at least they share vocals every now and then. With *NSYNC, it was always Justin or JC. With BSB, all of the guys got solos on their albums and such.

And Justin isn't even all that good looking. All the girls were in love with him, but I didn't agree.

Nick Carter was my fav. BSB and I still think his voice is great.
Haha, Jesse McCartney when he was in Dream Street reminded me of Nick Carter in BSB. The only difference is that I stuck with Jesse thru his solo career, I never picked Nick's solo album up.

BSB were the FIRST boy band that truly broke the teen-pop into the mainstream during the late 90's. Their first albums (BSB, edited worldwide except in the states) and Backstreet back are classics of the 90's teen-pop, and Millenium(2000) is just a gem of mainstream pop, with solid melodies, great dance numbers, smooth ballads and excellent voices. Their two last albums, Black&Blue and Never Gone have sold worse, but they're are solid records though, more mature and soulful.
NSYNC were just a copy of the success of BSB, they have huge hit singles, but their albums as a whole are much WORSE mad . Mr.Timberlake is the only one with charisma, the other members of the group are losers.

Millennium definitely was a mainstream gem. And was also my fav. of all their albums because I liked 8/12 songs... I liked less songs on the other albums.

As far as *NSYNC goes, they have little gems in their albums here and there, but weren't really very strong as a whole. Most of their songs were roughly the same, different stories but nearly all the melodies were upbeat.

Justin was the most successful out of any of them, but I just hate his music. In my eyes, he's just another contributer to "mainstream garbage"

haha...

this is just like the good old days in the 90's.

fangirls bitchfight ing over whether BSB or *NSYNC is the better of the two.

I got into both groups and see their positives and negatives... but I'll always have a special place for the BSB.

lol I almost feel like a referee at a boxing or wrestling match.

IMO I still wonder why they were popular....1998-2002 was not a good era in pop music for me lol
