What i liked about both BSB and NSYNC was that they didn't try to cover up their bubblegum image. They were what they were, a boyband. Unlike today with Fall out Boy, Good Charlotte, All American Rejects, Panic at the Disco etc. They're all boybands playing up the "punk" and roughed up image.

you're forgetting The Click Five... my dad calls them a bunch of punks based on looks alone.
But their matching suits makes them resemble The Beatles.
And unlike BSB & *NSYNC, they actually play in a band (there's a drummer, two guitarists, a keyboardist and a bassist). And they harmonize like The Beatles and the Beach Boys.
I didn't get into any of those groups you mentioned, just never bothered.
I have a hatred for Panic At the Disco! cuz the lead singer's voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard... and I'll stick by my theory that they copied off The Click Five and are riding the mainstream path of popularity.

The Click Five was the best new thing I got into last year. I was starting to make my transition to my favoring of people that play their own instruments & write their own music. (Ben Romans of The Click Five co-wrote nearly all of the songs and even write 2 of the songs on their first album).
And b4 people start throwing comments in, they're coming up with a new album this summer.

ahem... the BSB do play instruments. Nick plays drums, Howie does guitar, AJ the same, Brian does play an instrument (i forgot though), and Kevin plays the piano.

not that I saw... shrug it wasn't what I knew them for. I was aware that they did play instruments, just not sure if they actually did in their songs... but I've never really seen them in concert, so I wouldn't really know.

I'm sorry if I was coming off as being a little "short" a few posts ago...

When it comes to music, I have very strong opinions and I'll stand by everyone I listen to. My fav. artists are part of my individuality.
And yeah, I'm a little bitter that Panic at the Disco! is getting more fame when clearly, The Click Five are so much better... maybe this summer, things will turn around in my favor.

Both had their weaknesses and strong points, so I'll just break it down by categories:

Singing: JC from 'NSync can really sing, but in general BSB were better singers than 'NSYNC. BSB were better at pulling off ballads and 'NSYNC did better w/the dance/upbeat tunes then BSB did. Winner: BSB

Dancing: 'Nsync hands down. They had that cool dance move in "Bye Bye Bye" and BSB could not compete with that or dance as good as 'Nsync. Winner: 'NSYNC

Music Videos: BSB had some good videos, okay one good video which was "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" but 'Nsync's videos were better overall. "It's Gonna Be Me" when those 'Nsync dolls came to life was genius! And who could forget the video for "I Drive Myself Crazy" where the 'Nsyncers were running around in stray jackets locked up in an insane asylum. Their videos were much more creative. Winner: 'Nsync

Record Sales/Achievements: BSB have sold 75 million record WW while 'Nsync's are somewhere around the 40 million range. 'Nsync holds the all time record for most albums sold in a week by any group or artist (w/a very impressive 2.4 million albums sold) and I don't think anyone will be breaking that record anytime soon, so this round is a DRAW.

Better Signature Song: Basically it comes down to "I Want It That Way" Vs. "Bye Bye Bye". Both songs were catchy but "I Want It That Way" is just the better song that everybody and their momma was singing when it first came out so the Winner here is: BSB

Best Hearthrobs: This is an important and essential part of any boy band. BSB had Nick Carter. 'Nsync had Justin Timberlake. I don't like either but Justin actually used to be cute in those days and looked better than any member of BSB so the Winner here is: 'Nsync

Better Style: Both groups had horrible fashion sense, but I can never forgive 'Nsync for showing up to The Billboard Awards (I think it was the billboard awards, oh well it was one of those shows) all dressed in ugly ass black fur coats so the Winner here is: BSB

Most likely to kick your ass: BSB all the way. Have you seen Kevin Richardson with his scary looking ass and unibrow? That dude scares me. No memeber of 'Nsync could ever compete with him, Justin especially who could never kick anybody's ass. Joey Fatone might come closest though if he sat on a BSB member but since that it is highly unlikely, the winner here is: BSB.

WINNER OVERALL: BSB biggrin

BSB for sure. They could really sing. AJ had a really nice R&B soul type of voice that in my opinion was the best out of all of them. When I would see them live, it could really knock you on your ass some nights! (miss those days.... biggrin) He was really good and can't wait till his solo album comes out if ever. Brian could also sing his ass off, and Nick was good too. I'm sorry but JT was the only decent singer in NSync. Too whiney for me. They all sounded the same and the members of BSB all had a distinctive voice, which was nice.

The dancing was not spectacular, but good. That really isn't important to me anyway. Its more about singing at least to me. Song wise BSB got it all over NSync also. All I have to give, Show me the meaning, More than that (my absolute favorite!!), if you stay, ect... are all fantastic songs. There are just so many. Very melodic and heartfelt. Love me some BSB....

Alrighty..I gotta say N'SYNC. I love BSB but there is something about N'SYNC. Hands down, imho, N'SYNC can sing way better than BSB. They both had good albums and stuff but I mean, N'SYNC was just dope. I also think N'SYNC dance better but don't get me wrong, BSB can throw down but N'SYNC is better. So yes, I believe N'SYNC is better than BSB. Well, both bands have sexy people!!!!
