Yeah, it's a good one. I just wish Antony had dropped the lisp for this one. I like his voice a lot, but the lisp really holds me back from loving it. And he doesn't always sing with it, so I don't know what makes him decide to use it.

Yeah, I'm iffy on the choice of the male vocalist but the poem itself and just thinking about actually having someone in my life that I could actually muse like that over makes everything all better lol

Yeah, it makes me think of my man mushy

I love that song because just the eyes when they are downturned spawns that kind of musical amazingness cry

What's interesting is other than forming the Sugarcubes with Siggi (bjork gets some credit for their formation) he hasn't done that much.

Um... is he the one that runs that record store? And the label? I'm not sure confuse

Surely, there's something....

well, i know he's written some books of poetry, which i'm SURE are quite lovely. lol

The less said about her opening act Ghostdigital the better. lol

I have a few words. lol

So yeah, it was Einar alright. But seeing him on his own made me realize how much they reigned him in for the Sugarcubes stuff. Left to his own devices, his new band makes the Cubes sound like the friggin' Cranberries or something.

The music itself was pretty cool. But it literally was like watching someone have a mental collapse to a hard electronica backdrop. Not a pretty sight, although it was hysterical at times. Most notable was probably his rant about the fight he had with his sofa, "Why would you want to put your ass in my face?" lol

Probably the best moment of the opening act came thanks to my concert partner Ivy (Stymie). She happened to notice someone in a gold lamé costume on the side of the stage. Well, wouldn't you know that it was Björk with her hair done up like Pebbles from the Flintstones. She was headbanging, sticking her tongue out and pumping her fists with horns hands. It was hysterical to watch and actually pretty endearing to see her cheering her old friend on.

That's about the nicest thing I can say about it though. After seeing him live, I realized I saw him walking all around the lobby before entering the show. I thought, wow that looks like Einar Orn, but a LOT worse. He's really let himself go.

We didn't get Bachelorette either. We got Where Is The Line instead which was interesting hearing that one live, but I would have traded it for Hyperballad or Bachelorette.

Oh man, she didn't? It was one of the wildest, most insane performances she's ever done.

The beginning starts off sorta like the album version, but with horns instead, but the end turns into a crazy mash-up with LFO's "Freak".

You must seek it out!

this just may go down as the single most brilliant thing I've ever seen live. I seriously have teared up everytime I've tried to describe it to folks. I know I can't declare favorites in my historical lists until I've digested it more, but it's got a good chance.

OMG... I heard it
for the first time today
I had no idea it'd leaked already

I mean I always "liked" Bjork
but I never heard any of her albums
this being my first
I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it

add this to my list
of the contenders
for Album of the year '07

it's "trippy"
and I'm a sucker for "trippy"
