Hey Guitar Players!

Check out Ray Gomez doing "Blues For Mez".

If this doesn't send you (and me too.) back to the woodshed I don't know what will!

biggrin I remember this tune!!! Gomez put this on his first solo album, back in the early 80's!! Narada Michael Walden also ended up putting it on his "Sending Love To Everyone" album back in '95. Course, Ray really stretches out on it here!! Kool!!
I first heard Ray playing on Narada's albums (and on Stanley Clarke's stuff, too!)....

Thanks for posting that Carl. Santana said it the best about Ray: "Ray's playing is like eating ice cold watermelon on a hot sunny July day".

This cat is grossly underated.

Ray is a very good player and an "out there" kind of guy.

If i'm not mistaken, that looks like Malando Gassama on percussion
(ABBA & Al Jarreau. Now that's a stretch.)

He even did a tune with this trio devoted to one of our Orgers titled - Stax.

Ray Gomez with...

...David Sancious & Alphonso Johnson

Ray with...

...another fine guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel
