I'm not ashamed to admit that I was a Dino fan.I love this song reminds me of the summer of '89.I went out and bought Dino's '24/7' cassette, primarily for this song.He also had some great slow jams too.Remember the song "Never 2 Much Of U" from that album? The title track was cool too.

Omg that was the first time I ever saw this video! All this time I pictured him as a black guy..for some reason I always got a mental image of somone like Bobby Brown..I was not expecting a white guy to be singing this song. That kinda through me for a loop.

The clubs were all over this shit back...shit when was it? '89??
I never cared for it then, but I like it now. Like a lot of music from that era, I have been forced by what passes for music today to significantly re-evaluate in a positive direction my feelings on lots of material.

You gotta have a gimmick to make it in this business, Krystal.
Dino's gimmick was he was white. And wore vests with no shirt.

See, I am glad you posted this Krystal. This song is NOT a great song really, BUT it has a great HOOK. THIS is what is missing in music today (amongst a whole lotta other things). What the hell is wrong today when NOBODY is capable of coming up with a goddman hook? Anyway, that's another post - the Death of the Hook. I shall go and start it.

you go ahead, start that thread!! I agree with you, people don't write good hooks anymore! Dino's "I Like It" has a really catchy hook and best of all,the song is actually fast! Too many of today's R&B songs sound like slow,boring,smoothed-out hip hop No groove whatsoever.
