I haven't thought about some of these CDs in the longest.

There are ones I liked in 2001 that I still don't feel like hearing again though... almost like nostalgia that isn't ready yet.

Some of these I consider active documents because I still return to them.

Wow, we only have two albums in common. There would be more if Prince and Tori didn't disappoint me so much this decade. 3121 and Scarlet's Walk could have possibly made a top 100 list.

Yeah I had "Kid A" kinda low... it's sorta sunk for me over the years. I respect it, but I don't have the urge to listen to it much.

I'm sure I had oversights as well. Any of those that I posted above that you had listed could easily be on my Top 75 on a different day. These things tend to change smile

^^ love seeing Go-Betweens on there. I loved their 80's stuff but I sorta lost track of them, and haven't heard any of their later material. I need to check it out.

I also really like Old 97's. "The New Kid" is one of my favorite tracks of the last several years.

Their three '00 era records are all very good. Oceans Apart has the best songs, but it's hampered by a really harsh, bright production. Friends of Rachel Worth isn't quite as good song-wise, but it has a really lovely organic sound, along with backing from Sleater-Kinney.

I also really like Old 97's. "The New Kid" is one of my favorite tracks of the last several years.

I actually haven't heard that song - must be from their last album, which I haven't picked up yet for whatever reason. I'm a big, big fan of that band, but my favourite records by them date from the '90s - Fight Songs and Too Far To Care.

I have these. There's even less crossover with your list than with Northern Lad's. I used to have The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, but sold it. "Sister Surround" was the only song on 'Behind The Music' that I really liked so I figured the album wasn't worth keeping.
