How I got tricked into loving Franz Ferdinand's debut so much.

It was just they are divine thiefd, like The Scissor Sisters; I just played me some Japan on shuffle, Communist China came on and that intro made me think it was Franz Ferdinand!

Daaaaamn! In retrospect I feel cheated! LoL

Noooo. Not really. But I was stupid to not understand why I like that first Franz album so much

Anyways. So. Lala. etc.

So, how many of you actually heard of Japan?

And how many actually heard anything by them?

And how many actually know Communist China?

Show of hands!

I have a few Japan albums gathering dust in my vinyl collection. I can't really remember much about them, truth be told, except that I often put Sons of Pioneers on mix tapes I made for folks.

I really liked David Sylvian's Brilliant Trees though - absolutely terrific album, and back when I used to need such things the albums he made with Holger Czukay made for very nice 'coming down' listening.
