The Skee-Lo thread made me think of the songs being played on the radio around that time. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

You're taking it back with this thread! This track used to be the chase. Came out around the same time of Quad City DJ's C'mon N Ride It (The Train) and when MTV was mainstreaming a lot of Southern quad and booty bass. Dis N Dat / Party (feat. 69 Boyz) Luke / Scarred + Raise Tha Roof (feat. No Good But So Good) Playa Poncho / What'z Up What'z Up Ghost Town DJ's / My Boo Dana Harris / As We Lay INOJ / Love You Down The Puppies / FunkY2C This was also around the same time when I was collecting Bass compilations and dubbing songs off the radio with Maxell cassettes. Speaking of which, I need to re-order the "...And Then There Was Bass" compilation. I remember having the CD, but dubbing it onto tape and selling it to get some pocket change @ the time. .... Ah, I thought "My Baby Daddy" was hilarious (if more than a little sad). No, the song I absolutely couldn't stomach was "Funky Y 2 C" by the Puppies. "Hey little mama, why you dance so funky?" "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I remember all of these songs listed. I hated "My Boo" and "The Train". Does anyone remember a song that went: Do you hear what I hear. That boom, that boom. Ooh I like that Boom.. I can't remember the rest I'm not sure if this was some local ATL shit or if it went nationwide because I can't find the lyrics online. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
