I have never heard anyone talk bout Yaz on here. Vince Clark is God.

LOVE this album! "Situation", "Only You", "Don't Go", and "(Didn't I) Bring Your Love Down" are all just amazing cuts, and the rest of the album isn't too shabby, either.

I think that for the first few Erasure albums or so, Andy Bell really tried to emulate Alison Moyet's vocal style; there are some cuts on "Pop!" that almost sound like Moyet is singing 'em.

yeah there was a band with the yaz name already in the usa so they had to change it to yazoo for release here. Or vise versa I cant remember.

My first synth pop album
I happened to hear a Yazoo live concert on the radio back in 82 and I just had to go out and buy it. I loved the strength of Alison's voice and the simplicity of the music. It was so different to what I had heard until then.
I went back to Depeche Mode debut and then followed both careers: Alison's and
Vince's ( and Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, New Order, OMD... )

Great, great album! "Only You" is genius.

meh...Vince Clark...that name...always reminds of lame gay songs from Erasure (the poor man's PSB)...no thanks
