Things im counting on

Paul McCartney
a-Ha
Duran Duran
BonJovi
PCD
Nicole S (solo)
Jennifer Lopez (english cd due out July)
MYA
Amerie

and some others out next week, the Beyonce dvd/cd/bonus, i could care less about her music just wanna see her. And the new Hilary Duff, sorry call me crazy, but this whole dance thing she is doing on this record is breath of fresh air in the US market which really has nothing in the Dance/pop category.
And the new Jennifer Lopez is really good, all latin, mostly slow, a few dance tracks, but GREAT Production from Marc Anthony and EMILIO ESTEFAN the best producer of the last 25 years.

fresh air? over the last couple of years, she's been morphing herself into Kylie Minogue, and we already had Kylie and left her for dead by the side of the road. twice! not sure her clone is going to breathe new life into the genre.

Well Kylie is far from a part of the American market, she has had two hits in 20 years, so she is not someone that is shown and played in this country whether or not we talk about her on the forums 24/7. Also what Hilary is doing, like her or not, is at least a step away from what would have been safe to do, in the US people think club music is Nelly F or Justin or Gwen, the fact that stuff even gets played in a club that club should be torn down. From what i have heard the Hilary Duff cd is not even really being pushed here, she did about 15-20 uk shows this month and has been pushing it there, mainly i think its realized that Dance music really has no place in the USA at this point, at least not in mainstream.

well, from what I've heard, he'll be finished with it by fall.
But if he's not. we'll just have to find him and MAKE him finish. No more of that "waiting 4 years" bullshit

which was exactly my point. the U.S. has roundly rejected Kylie. why would we be intersted in someone who's morphed herself sonically and physically into her mini-me?

Understood but why be just another Nelly Furtado or Gwen Stefani, i mean do we really need more of that? I would take Hilary singing Gospel music at this point before more Nelly or Gwen productions

It's more of a case of lack of promotion/Kylie's lack of interest in US success than the US "roundly rejecting Kylie", but anyway...

Also Kylie doesnt need the USA market, that whole thing that without the US market you are screwed is OVER and DONE with! The Usa in terms of a Music Market has fallen so far its not even a factor at this point to any artist that can sell overseas.

I hope both of those guys release new albums! I love Darren Hayes. I've been a fan for over 10 years now. I still mourn the breakup of SG, but I'm glad to see that Darren is still making new music.

I'm also looking forward to anything new from Annie Lennox or Paul McCartney. They are 2 of my favorites. Oh yeah, something new from P would be nice too.
