I just find it interesting when I hear people say that, because the vast majority of what I would call essential Mary J. Blige songs are original compositions. In fact, only her version of Rufus' "Sweet Thing" and Rose Royce's "I'm Goin' Down" are what I would call songs that would need to go on an extensive discography of hers.
