It's a great album, really. Everyone who digs EBTG should definitely grab hold of Out of the Woods. I think I even like it more than their last studio effort Temperamental because it is more balanced, that is the electronic and acoustic elements nicely complement each other to create a cohesive, heartfelt, emotional albeit modern album. There are uptempo as well as slower tracks on the disc and it is bloody difficult to tell which hit it better. The ones I love the most are It's All True and Grand Canyon which is like Missing part 2 - it has the same atmosphere of longing and sorrow laid over a very nice house beat. Pure class. I've been wating for such an album for a long time - it's almost thirteen years since Amplified Heart was released. We Can Funk | |
