Okay, just finished.

Now for my review:

Fucking loved it!

Glad to know I'm not the only one! Anx likes it a lot too, as do the critics. It's got a metascore of 83/100 so far after 19 reviews, ranking it as number 5 for the year so far.

It's probably more solid than Louden Up Now, even if it may not reach the astonishing heights of "Giuliani" or "Pardon My Freedom".

I want to review it properly, and I have to go in a few minutes, so I'll write up a review later.

i think it's promising that young indie bands are making funky music in the first place. of course, it wasn't recorded prior to 1980, so it's always going to be lacking in some people's eyes.

you didn't get the 2 disc set? don't worry TOO much...it's only got three songs on it, and they're all remixes/alternate versions of songs from the album. 'heart of hearts' is one of them, i forget what the other two are...

They didn't have it here! Then again, I did get the album on February 25th, so maybe the bonus disc version has just arrived.

I'm liking this record, too, but it sounds more Sandinista-era Clash than Talking Heads to me.

This song is definitely the standout, and I feel like I shouldn't like it. If I described it it might sound like Limp Bizkit, but it's really nothing like it.

Some people might criticize the lack of melodies, but the music is strong enough for that not to matter.

I've downloaded it and put in on my shuffle, and so far I've heard Bend Over Beethoven. Beyond its great title, I've never had a song invoke so many different reactions in me. I like the spacier, jammier parts, but then when it gets into this bad Chili Peppers funk-metal stuff, I want to turn it off. But I'm definitely wanting to hear more...
