Tony Terry's Gospel Music Anybody remember Tony Terry? The guy who sung "With You." That was such a beautiful song I saw on his myspace that he does gospel music now-anyone ever heard it? Own it? Is it any good?

I loved his "Lovey Dovey" single back in the late 80's. I saw his Gospel CD the other day at Circuit City. I recognized his face. I don't buy Gospel music, but at least the guy is still doing his thing.

Tony was hot around the same time as Keith Sweat. Lovey Dovey was the JOINT!

My favorite Tony Terry song actually foreshadowed this switch: "Everlasting Love." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I'm not surprised -- most soul singers become gospel singers after their secular careers fizzle out. You would think Howard Hewett and Johnny Gill would have went that way by now. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. In fact, he's still doing his soul music thing (with an occasional gospel-inspired song) and performs occasionally with Jeffrey Daniel and Carolyn Griffey (SOLAR Records founder Dick Griffey's daughter) in a reconstituted Shalamar. Howard Hewett's "The Journey" is a gospel/faith-inspired album that was released in 2001. However, Hewett has never stopped performing as a secular artist, singing songs from both his Shalamar days and as a solo artist. Hewett recently started performing with Jeffrey Daniel and Carolyn Gregory as Shalamar on occasion: http://www.youtube.com/wa...v7cMGRG1cw THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums.
