I don't know if any of you are familiar with Domonique Simone, but at one time she briefly toyed with the idea of doing music. I don't think adult entertainers can really make that crossover into mainstream without their past interfering. Like an earlier post stated, Heather Hunter dropped a CD but it was horrible.

By the way, I interviewed Domonique Simone last year and you might be intrigued by what she had to say about the music business.

I highly doubt that will ever happen. First of all, even with porn going mainstream these days, it's still incredibly difficult for porn stars to cross into mainstream entertainment. Yes, Traci Lords did it (she was my first hardcore starlet I watched ), and Ginger Lynn Allen did some mainstream acting roles (she's actually from my hometown of Rockford, Illinois), but they are the exceptions to the rule. There have been a few ex-porn stars who got into the WWE, but other than that porn stars still face the stigma of being associated with seedy entertainment. And anyone who has talent like Christina Aguilera or Scarlett Johannson wouldn't do porn in the first place unless they had some life issues (drug addiction, prior child or sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, incest). Despite what porn stars may say in public, I can't think of a single porn star who had a happy, well-adjusted social and family life before getting into adult entertainment. Anyway, it's extremely hard for porn stars to cross over into mainstream acting, and it's even harder for them to cross into music. The main reason has to do with musical talent, which is no different than anyone else trying to get into the music business, but then they face the porn stigma on top of that. Besides Traci Lords and Heather Hunter, there was a porn star named Dyanna Lauren who was the lead singer of a punk/alternative band called Seven Year Bitch that actually got some decent reviews and played on a few tours. But there was another porno babe (I don't remember her name though) who actually started out trying to be a singer but couldn't get any record deals before she ended up in porn. She actually had a halfway decent voice, but record executives treated her like the plague when they found out she was doing porn.
