Yes, there is a lot of junk out there today, but Tupac is not included in that junk. It's not wise to generalize all hip hop into one thing. There are different styles/types of hip hop just like there is in any other musical genre. You're only seeing one type of hip hop. As far as his talents, I would say:

1. He's a great lyricist and writer with wonderful flow and knows how to get the message across. His music has a beginning and end
2. He's a good actor. I thought he was on his way to becoming great. I especially liked his performance in "Juice."
3. He was a captivating speaker. I loved hearing a speech or an interview
