Its tough, I liked Jennifer long before people even knew who she was, then for awhile i didnt like her and now i like her alot again, because she seems grounded at this point and doing a "spanish" album. Also everything she did, she did first, the number 1 single,album,movie all at once, that was her not Beyonce. I do like Beyonce too, obviously a more talented singer than JLO, but Beyonce is stuck in this "box" right now, she seems to need a break, the music is very repetitive at this point. But as a male i find not really being interested in what Beyonce sings, and more concerned with what she is looking like or wearing, but thats her fault really. With JLO she has really toned that down now so i can get into her music now more, her new spanish songs are really good.

Jennifer Lopez was quite cool chichk when she started out, the fame had not yet gotten to her. However, Beyoncé was not cool when she started out.

I am not into J-Lo. There is only one song of hers that I like - Play.
As for Beyonce - there aren´t too many songs that are like either, there would be about 4 or 5. But yes, at least, she can sing.

The main problem with female stars is that they always seem 1 dimensional.
Look at beyonce, not bad at what she does but ultimately a doe-eyed, sexy, giggling moderater/entertainer, thing that can sing, thing. Do you know what I mean?

No pop queen shows much depth, or diversity.
Bjork is an exception, but she's not very mainstream, and she's labelled as crazy. Maybe Bjork even goes a little out of her way in order to fit the measurements of the prejudices concerning her.
Georg michael, prince , Dylan r mainstream male stars who naturally present themselves as multi-dimensional.
I can't think of any female counterparts.
