I will, thanks! but their influence is still the standard that all else is compare with.
I'm not saying they aren't influential. But I still affirm that there should not be some unwritten law of mandatory Beatle appreciation. Who the hell is comparing the Beatles to Jamiroquai?
There is no comparison whatsoever. The Beatles will go down in music history and their music will live forever. Jamiroquai - who???

As a Jamiroquai fan for over a decade, I can agree that the love for the J is not as strong as I'd like. They've kinda wandered since Zender left the band, but I've still liked something about every J record since.
I understand that the Beatles may not be relevant to you, but they're not overrated in any respect. They occupy a whole lot of "space" in the pop music world, but their music, as I know it, is top-notch. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

This is why The Beatles are overrated. THE founders of modern music? There were plenty of other pioneers that were influential. Founders of modern pop music? Maybe. But u will need to demonstrate that they are better than Ray Charles, Brian Wilson, the Motown music, Bacharach and Jobim, at least. "Todo está bien chévere" Stevie

Jamiroquai is a good band and i like them a lot and i have seen them live a few times but once you get past traveling without moving their last couple of cds sound the same. They keep releasing the same song over and over again. it has gotten to be good background music but i don't hear any depth in their music anymore. there is no comparison between the beatles and Jamiraquai. the beatles are not overated. one person who deserves more love in the U.S. is paul weller. this guy is the real deal. he is on prince's level of brilliance. jamiraqui in my opinion has fallen off.

Actually I thought Jamiroquai's latest CD was their best. Ive only dug the random single here and there but Dynamite moved me all the way through. "Seven Days in Sunny June" is dreamy.

Well, I can tell you why you are ridiculed so often for it. Because you regularly peek into a Beatles-related thread just to remind us how much you hate them, and nothing else. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

I wouldn't compare Jamiroquai 2 The Beatles! I'm not a fanatic Beatles fan but imo they are the creators(along with others mentioned here) of modern pop songs! And I love them much more than Elvis, who imo is.....I won't get in2 this U are right though when U say Jamiroquai doesn't get the respect they deserve, especially in the US.Maybe the music is 2 disco/funky?? I don't see Madonna's Jump on top of the charts in the US, but it was in Europe and maybe in other parts of the world. Maybe this kind of dance-disco-funk music isn't popular in the US. I've made a habit of only commenting in threads where there is Beatles criticism already. Or making gagging and vomiting noises when you hear their name or their music. You wonder why you're ridiculed for voicing the same ridiculous opinion in direct opposition to 99% of the serious music-loving population, based on absolutely no reason (because you admit yourself that you haven't actually LISTENED to their music). Do you ever wonder, after all these years, and so much ridicule and opposition is that it's you and the way you voice your opinions that's your own problem?
