Forget The Beatles What About Jamiroquai? I'll start off by saying sorry to all those Beatles fans out there, but I just think they are overrated. Instead I want to talk about the real British Invasion that should have picked up more momentum in the US than it has! I'm talking about Jamiroquai! This band is the funkiest band I've heard in a very long time in both the US and Europe!! But they get little respect or representation here in the states! So let me here from all those Jamiroquai fans out there!

The Beatles definitely should have worn tea cozies on their heads.

yeah, groups that rehash the blander brand of 70's funk should be elevated beyond groups that revolutionized popular music an culture to an infinite degree. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

Jamiroquai is often #1 on this the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. And yes, I agree... Very underrated. Just because Jamiroquai is not a payola-paying, ass-kissing, U.S. manufactured pop band, this is the reason why they aren't played on radio in the U.S., nor played on MTV any longer. At least they were on heavy rotation for "Virtual Insanity". Does not really matter if they're popular in the U.S. or not. Jamiroquai is very popular in so many other countries around the world. Other countries like Europe and Japan appreciate true talent like Jamiroquai anyway. Screw the U.S. In addition, it's funny how so many of these fools here are so quick to judge a band when they probably never even listened to an entire Jamiroquai album, or even checked them out live. Come back and judge them after you have done either of these two things. [Edited 2/25/07 23:44pm]

ummm cinnamon I don't think anyone is bashing jamiroquai but to compare them to the Beatles and say that the group is better than the founders of modern music is well

I love Jamiroquai. They're one of my favorite bands.Their 2001 album 'A Funk Odyssey' is,so far,the best album of this decade, imo. One thing that impresses me about Jamiroquai is,there are no hip-hop elements in their music at all. These guys are playing funk, disco and pop music on their own terms, with no need to "water down" their songs in order to impress American music fans.

This is why The Beatles are overrated. THE founders of modern music? There were plenty of other pioneers that were influential. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

This isn't directed toward anyone in particular, but I have to ask why people are regularly ridiculed for saying that they prefer a lesser acclaimed artist to The Beatles? This is why The Beatles are overrated. THE founders of modern music? There were plenty of other pioneers that were influential. I agree, many other pioneers were creating new music, but the Beatles took all of the influences and created something amazing. I really don't care for their early 60's stuff and really I'm not that big of a fan, BUT Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was a watershed in the history of music. It elevated everything and took it to the higher level. Hate on the Beatles all you want, but their influence is still the standard that all else is compare with. and theres a reason for that. I don't think that Jamiroquai brought anything new to the music world, They do the same tune over and over again. They have cool singles and hot women love them. So it's nice to play some of it just to get the women in mood for some sexual action. [Edited 2/26/07 0:50am]
