I agree with you!! I loved this album, but I noticed a lot of hardcore AFI fans kinda hated it and pegged it as their 'sellout' album. I just got into them last year, thanks to a friend and I really dug the album. My favorites are:

The Killing Lights
Love Like Winter
Kiss and Control
Miss Murder

I want to get more of their music, but if this album was so different from thier earlier stuff (according to fans), I'm scared that I won't like it as much.

Also, Davey Havok is hella sexy

I have to check them out...but first I have to hear Muse's Simitry...

I like this album a lot myself (#22 on my best of 2006 list), but the main criticism I've heard about it is that the lyrics are a little one-dimensional and I would have to agree. The music is great though. If Moonbeam had made an org Pazz & Jop singles poll, "Miss Murder" would make my top 10.

I love this CD,especially the songs "Summer Shudder" and "Kiss and Control". I lust after Prince more, but Davey Havok is hot too.
