Thanks. I can see a slight resemblance but I imagine even moreso when she was younger and a bit lighter in weight I guess. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

definitely Su'aad was one of prettiest actresses back in the late 70's, and actually a fashion icon if you may lol

[Edited 2/15/07 12:26pm] Naaah,,,I'm talking about Hussain Now that was a brownie cake Hayat is the MOST hysterical actress ever IMO. Tichina Arnold from Everybody Hates Chris reminds me alot of young Hayat. But Hayat was wild, esp in that soap opera with Su'aad where they acted in a hospital of the insane. I also remember seeing a 70's skit with Hayat putting a mold in her cheek and doing the whole Samira Tawfiq act,,,,I nearly died laughing OMG you should've seen it,,,I couldn't watch a Samira Tawfiq clip/movie without thinking of that skit She's the only actress I know(and even actor) who could combine comedy and drama SO naturally. I think she wears that title VERRRY well IMHO Though I bet ol' sista Su'aad has a thing or 2 on her mind about that

She said it was a private personality that insisted she'd put it before her name, but she wasn't convinced with it. Shows ya how humble the woman really is

Shows ya how humble the woman really is And confident which Mariam obeviously lacks. I'm not even sure why she had the nerve to complain since she brought a new level to the monotune, non-emotional acting. Though I love Fatin and think she's a hell of an actress,,,,,I thought the title should've went to Amina Risq mainly becoz she delievered roles with MORE range and conviction than Fatin who always chose a one-dimensional repetitive role over and over(the idealistic innocent Mother Mary who was always the victim of her surroundings,,,,couldn't buy that bullshit). Hind Rustom was a ferocious talent too but the sad thing about her is she got thrown in these over-sexual roles which didn't showcase her chops. P.S. Talk about jacking the hell out of this thread

.
2 hell with the thread as long as the convos are hella good even though Fatin actually did one hell of a resourceful role in The Mockinbird Prayer, but it's true that Amina (RIP) was a MONSTEROUS actress. Esp. her gazing eyes when she plays a sinister character one time i couldn't sleep as a child after watching her in The Damned House, if you're familiar with that film. You know who i would've liked to see more of though? Samya Gamal. I know damn well she would've done MUCH more than just a belly dancer. God, she's capturing on screen

I thought Tahia was MORE of a character though. Samya and Sabbah were more flirtatious, not a bad thing, but boring after a while. Now Tahia, that dame was SEXY even when aging got obevious on her in the 60's, she still maintained that sex appeal. Also, you could always tell a woman right off who didn't take no shit from NO-BODY,,,and that was Tahia IMO. Speaking of scary women,,,,how about Akeela Ratib? Boy, if she ain't got the meanest pair of eyebrows god ever put on a woman's face

that, you nailed how about Mimi Shaqeeb? now that one's got a flat out pimp/madame look I thought Tahia was MORE of a character though. Also, you could always tell a woman right off who didn't take no shit from NO-BODY,,,and that was Tahia IMO. nobody could EVER top Tahia calling Angham "bent kalb" on air it was like a slap on my face, let alone HERS. I really hope that interview would surface on youtube one day. Speakin' of Tahia, have you heard of the new baby born that she found on her door step a few months b4 she died? She said it was like a gift from God as she was living alone before that baby girl blessed her life. And as if she knew her clock was ticking, she asked Fifi Abdu (her best friend) to take care of the baby if something happens to her. And she was right, a few months later she died, and Fifi took the girl. Btw, also Tahia personally stated that she asked Fifi that if there's ever going to be a film/series on her life someday, then Fifi should be the one doing it, that's why at the moment there is some grinding battle between Fifi and Nadia Al-Jundi, 'cause the latter was rumored to be preparing for the bio-pic as a series (even though she knows about Tahia's request) [Edited 2/15/07 19:35pm]

she does love her share of airbrushing but it's actually the make up and the whole London-inspired style that does it to me in that shoot, it's so damn hot

Thats why I like it too. Finally a new look with some edge to it. I think the brush has cut down her figure as well but I love the style and even the hair. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
