k so this is cassie steele, all the degrassi heads will know her as manny and when i first heard about her comming out with an album on one of those degrassi specials i thought "ahh she cant sing, its gonna be some cutesy pop shit" and then i never heard about it again. so when i was wikipediaing degrassi (they killed jt!) i found out that she actually did release her album, and again i thought "cant sing, cutesy popo". boy was i WRONG! this girl has a VOICE and she wrote alot of the songs! i downloaded the album yesterday, have every song except jaded and famous - but wat i do have is great. its called how much for happy and its rock w/ a little teen angst thrown in but shes no avril!



this girl is the real deal. 3 of the best songs are rock your bones, a sinners prayer (really beautiful) and broken. she ALSO does a good version of hey joe! when i first saw THAT in the tracklist i could only think that she probably fucked it up - boy was i wrong again! it aint jimi, but its very listenable, my only gripe w/ her version is that her pronounciation is super proper lol, which usually isnt a bad thing , but it kinda doesnt work on this song, atleast for me. all in all tho, i REALLY like this album, its definately not wat u'd expect at all.
