Mariah has cheapened herself, but she was born to be on record. She's an amazing singer who kind of went in the wrong direction. Imagine if she was singing meaningful music. She could have been up there with the greats.

Beyonce was born to be a star, but she's never done anything that has moved me musically. A good singer, though. She belongs where she is. Gorgeous.

Janet was really smart/lucky to team up with JJ & TL. Otherwise she'd probably be another failed Jackson solo career. Perhaps she could have continued acting. I'm guessing she has very little to do with her music. She's getting a bit old to be acting the way she does. Her cleavage is actually disturbing now.

Britney is a poor man's Janet. Nothing but a younger body.

I don't hate them, and if people want to listen to them that's fine with me. But I lean against this kind of music that is overshadowed by the hype of the performer. Musically, Mariah & Beyonce are the only ones who deserve careers. And Janet & Britney aren't good enough dancers to warrent their stardom--just my honest opinion.

JANET JACKSON: In the period between "Rhythm Nation" and the "Janet" albums, midtempo shit hop was first starting to take over the R&B radio airwaves. For the "Janet" album, that so many people were looking forward to, the timing was perfect to keep either funk or dance music going on strong and knock midtempo shit hop back down in the gutter where it belonged. Instead, she joins the enemy and sells out to the shit hop sound with "That's The Way Love Goes" and helps the sound to grow even further. I dropped her ass like a hotcake after that one.

MARIAH CAREY: I never liked her. When I heard her first song "Vision Of Love", I thought it was Shitney Houston. She started out influenced by a goodie two shoes Shitney Houston....the worst thing you could be in my book....and when she got through with that sound, she got even worse slumming the the shit hoppers.

BEYONCE: I never started talking about her like a dog until she performed with Prince on the AMA Awards in 2004. I never really noticed her before that and just considered her one of the countless R&B singers who don't know any better and don't have any better taste than to do weak shit hop influenced R&B. After seeing her perform with Prince, that's when I noticed her and started talking about her because she needs to keep her shit hop ass with other shit hoppers and stay the hell away from funkateers because she's not worthy. I also saw Prince in another light also for lowering his standards.

BRITNEY SPEARS: I've never really talked about her that bad. She's on the pop side and her shit was never a threat to funk (since it had long been extinct). My beef is with shit hop which dominates R&B radio and funk (or funky dance or house music) gets no airplay because of it. As far as pop radio goes, I don't care if symphonies take over it because it was never my thing to begin with.

Prince lowering his standards?!? Are you serious? lol

It's not the first time Prince hired dancing booties on the same stage he would play on.

Two singers, two non-singers.

The two with the singing ability deserve a career. Janet Jackson has had nice hats.

Britney Spears- Ok, I enjoy some of her delightfully poppy tunes, but she is pretty talentless as all of her classics owe thanks too good production. She's just a puppet

She has "classics"??? omfg I'm gonna fucking kill myself lol

Sure...as far as 90's pop music goes lol
20 years from now when people are recalling the pop hits of the late
1990's it'd be silly not to mention her
If you will, so will I

By lowering standards, I wasn't referring to performing with whores. I love whores, the sluttier the better. At least those were champaigne whores. Shit hop whores are another story though. That's what I meant by lowering standards. Shit hop whores don't deserve nothing but an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.

* Maybe the fact that Janet Jackson is a 40-year-old woman trying to appeal to an audience young enough to be her children is the turn off with her. Keep in mind, a lot of her target audience's PARENTS used to buy her music when they were teen-agers. If anything, Jackson's music is a reflection of an act who has not grown with her core audience and has become an anachorism -- just like her brother Michael. IMO, the ass-out shots also don't help her image.
ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY ON POINT.

* With Mariah Carey, it's the same affliction Jackson has but to a lesser degree. It seems like Carey has been coming out with the same-sounding, superficial songs for the past 15-plus years, but unlike Jackson Carey's total audience is not totally teen-ager based.
AGAIN, on point.

* As for Beyonce, she's suffering from overexposure. She's been a constantly high-profile pop culture presence for six years straight and I feel people are just tired of looking at her. I also get tired of her music -- it seems like ALL her songs are so-called "women empowerment" songs when in reality it's the same song about men being worthless dogs and she's out to bash them all for the Lifetime network.
DAMN, THREE FOR THREE.

* And finally, Britney Spears is tabloid fodder whose fleeting music career ended some four years ago. Like Jackson, she can get attention only when she's flashing some body part. She's like most of the other white, teen-aged girl singers in the 1990s who didn't have any real staying power or credible music (see Jessica Simpson) once people lost interest in them. She is only relevant as a novelty act for The Inqiuirer and People magazine.

ONE LAST TIME, ON POINT.

can't get much more succinct than that.

yeah, Janet's got some talent, but
HOW MANY MORE TIMES
is she going to show the world her hand-covered tits or barely covered midriff or ass? does Janet really want to portray herself this way.. or is someone else whispering in her ear "yeah Janet.. if you want to stay "hot" you gotta keep showing your body parts..!"?

Mariah has by far the best voice of these 4, but she's wasted much of that going for that "flavor-of-the-month" hybrid of hip-hop & pop or whatever. will she ever do a "real" soul or r&b record that will (finally/again) show off her impressive vocal skills??

I really don't have anything against Beyoncé, but it would probably be good for Jay-Z to take her up to the North Pole for about, oh, 6 months or so. that MIGHT be only place left on this earth where she's not overexposed.

then, as for Britney - the favorite "po white trash pop diva" of many - there really isn't that much left to say..
when people talk more about a crotch shot of you than your music..
that basically sums it all up.

I honestly do not "hate" on anybody - all of the above have worked hard to get where they are, & clearly, they wouldn't have gotten to where they are without some type of legitimate, discernable talent. it's just like..
"ugh. NEXT."
"next" as in "raise your game (=art) to the NEXT level & challenge your audience" or "focus on your NEXT career move AWAY from where it currently stands"..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

Janet's only hated because her new album's shit, her boyfriend's a congenital dwarf, and she goes on and on about her sex life but won't release a tape for us to judge for ourselves.

Mariah's bland. And nuts. And desperate.

Beyonce's overexposed. And bland. And has bad breath. And a dodgy weave. And her boyfriend looks like a frog.

Britney's crap. And bland. And had a very stupid husband.
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Janet Jackson - Because she stopped making good albums.

Mariah Carey - For becoming co-dependent on stupid ass rappers in her songs.

Beyonce - For being a super conceited stuck up c.

Britney Spears - For being a contrived package, nothing genuine or real.

Well, Janet cannot sing and has to use outside producers to write her best songs. She rides only on her famous name and big boobs.

Mariah Scary makes crappy music, but I do think she has the killer bods of all killer Diva bods. Big girls need love too...salivate.

Beyonce is a nice girl but her voice irritates me. Her songs suck. Hate that cadance singing she does.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

All I have to say is call me when one of these women record an album produced by The Egyptian Lover -- because that's the only way they will sound fresh.

I worked in a convenience store back in the 1990s and those cheap whores used to buy the hell out of those RCs, Nehi Colas, and Moon Pies. They also would stock up on those 25 Cent Little Debbie snacks and if they had a little money, they would live it up with some hog head souse. On Fridays, we couldn't keep enough Milwaukee's Best beer on the shelves either. lol

I like certain songs of every of these ladies, but their albums fail to interest me, as do their images.

I wish there were ladies with like them that would make MUSIC without having to ho out.

And LOL @ Brithey being a cute mom... all the pics of her drunk on the town aren't cute at all...
