Since you mentioned them already, I'm gonna throw this clip of The Zombies doing Time of the Season up here. This live clip has a killer organ solo and features two of the five original members (Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone). All five original members did a one-off live gig in November 1997. From what I read, egos are still in play and what should have been a reunion turned into a Colin Blunstone band show followed by a two-song encore of tunes by The Zombies.
I wish they'd get the attention they deserved; as much as I love The Beatles, I think The Zombies would have had a stronger impact if they lasted longer as a group. http://www.youtube.com/wa...ucSclGm2n0 date edit [Edited 1/28/07 11:18am]

To clarify - when I say "stronger impact," I don't mean stronger than The Beatles. I mean The Zombies could have made more of an impression than they themselves did.

Definitely one of the best of the British Invasion. And they could play! Rod Argent is often overlooked as a competent writer and player of that period. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Six songs from Odessey and Oracle (best album of the British invasion? could be, could be), She's Not There, and a few Argent hits thrown in for good measure made for a perfect evening. If anybody gets a chance to see them, don't pass it by - they're far more convincing than your run-of-the-mill nostalgia act.

Apparently they're returning here (Winnipeg) because the reaction to their last show was so positive. If they do return it seems likely they'd arrange MPLS dates as well. Nothing has been announced yet, but apparently dates are going to be set shortly. [Edited 1/28/07 11:54am]
