What a ridiculous question. rolleyes
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

prince must not think so, cause maybe he would have had more camera time in graffiti bridge, and actually been heard as the prominate vocal on we can funk.

Oh my, what a question.

I say go pick up the parliament and funkadelic best of's and take it from there. Some people get it, some don't.

The answer is probably. I love this stuff, but maybe not for you. It had influenced the man this org is dedicated too cool Beyond that it's the basis for most of the sampling rap of the late 80's into the nineties.

I would start with the Mid to late 70's Funkadelic/Parliment releases. This is when Bootsy Collins came over from James Brown's band. (BTW same for James Brown 70 -76).

This is my impression the FUNK was born.
