This is the first Nina Simone song i remember hearing. I don`t remember where i heard it, but i loved the song, the voice, the lyrics, everything.

I used to laugh @ the term "Complex singer" when I was younger. When I got older and went through some experiences, I came to appreciete that term THROUGH Nina's music.

She's a BALL of emotions. Its amazing how she could shift her mood in one song and still don't make it sound out of place.

Her rendition of "Strange Fruit" is hair raising. Good lord, you really have to hear it if you didn't already

Yeah, "Strange fruit" is on the "Four women" compilation. That song is almost too much for me...
