But as far as the "Dreamgirls" concern, I think folks 4got about the word "loosely" and highlighted the word "based".

that's her stock response...i bet you she paid somebody like Bruce Villanch or Carrie Fisher to write it...Its too witty to have been thought up by Diana alone.

goldderby.com has a whole write up about how diana prepared a response to the question. i think its a great way to deal with it. and i don't fault folks for asking her about dreamgirls (and neither does she btw) so this is a good lighthearted way to do such.

I saw it when she said it on Letterman. I thought she meant it as a joke. Nothing more. People like to blow shit up like this to make drama. Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor anymore?

I haven`t seen the movie yet, but i can imagine Beyonce made the character more human, more sympathetic, out of respect for Ross.

I like the way she handles these kinds of questions. Its always with a tongue in cheek attitude. It serves her well. She's always had an ability to sort of laugh at herself. I think the whole lawyers comment was just fun since alot of other people always wanna play up alot of scandal that often times is made up in peoples heads.
