Actually, one of the few 45s that I can ever find from the janet. era is "Throb" (For Jukeboxes or DJs) and she performed it on SNL.

Throb is one of my favorite Janet songs ever. I can play this song over and over again and never get tired of it. That was the song where I knew I was listening to a different Janet than the one that was on Rhythm Nation and Control and I liked it. I need to listen to it tonight!

A different type of "pop" ballad for Janet, her first in that vein, (as oppossed to the sexy slow jams) then came Every Time, etc. I'd take of What'll I Do if i had to cut a song off, or New Agenda w/Chuck D. (it' belonged on Rhythm with the message it had)

The hot type of shit Janet should be doing now. Just funk it out as opposed to phoning it in.....

Well thats it exactly, Janet alienated her fan base, the DANCE/POP base, and she went with watered down-over produced RB, I understand experimenting and trying different things, but Janet let alot of her fan base go by doing this.
