www.secondspin.com

You can buy CDS, DVDs, and Video games - new and used. I bought all of my Prince videos from there.

www.gemm.com

Great music site where you can get Cassettes, Vinyls, CDs, Books, DVDs. It is kinda expensive, because much of the stuff on there is rare or hard to find items. Has a great Prince catalog though.

GEMM is awesome for rare/collector stuff.

i find that amazon is great for pre-orders.

if i'm looking for a good price on a box set, i check out froogle.com.

sometimes you can find good deals at overstock.com (i order books from here a lot, too).

What i hate about amazon is the packages. I remember buying a Stephanie Mills cd a while ago, and it came in a box so big i had to pick it up at the post office, it couldn`t fit in the mailbox...

well, the positive to that is that you never get banged-up items. it might be a hassle to deliver, but the CD cases are never cracked and the stuff is never damaged.

That`s the only positive thing about it.... Amazon uk use much smaller packages, especially made to fit the cd or dvd. It always arrives in perfect shape.

Like you said, amazon is definitely good for pre-orders, so i use them alot.

I use a lot of these mentioned. I also have bought a few from Footlight. They specialize in original cast recordings and soundtracks. Music Stack is another great one for hard to find and out of print releases. It's sometimes pricey, but worth it
