He makes hits. Is it hip-hop? Reasonable minds can disagree.

Hmmmmm.....let's see now.....which 1980s hip hop artists have released a greatest hits collection in the last five year? I think I saw a Grandmaster Flash CD in the store lately. Put that with four more other greatest hits albums released in the last five years of hip hop artists from the 1980s and there is your top five.

sorry i can't chose five... i don't have this kinda attention span but anything that has mf doom, madlib, jaydee or a combination of them is cool with me...

anyway, i'll just add:

I would have definitely said this if sexton seven said "of this decade" but he said "the last 5 years". Still, Quasimoto - Unseen gets more play than any of the classics I listed.

What year is that 2000? If it's that good I'd still pick it up.

Yep. Or an answer like this.....

Hmmmmm.....let's see now.....what new hip hop artist made an album in the last five years with a fast funky style kinda like Egyptian Lover, that is so totally underground that no one has ever heard of them. You know, the kind of artist that you have to "search for" these days if you want good music. lol

50 should never EVER be considered Hip Hop. Never. Ever. Never.

so who is hip hop, since 50 is nicer than most of your favorite rappers, if u don't like his content say that, but to say he is a wack rapper is garbage

I'm not a fan of how 50 Cent conduct himself as a business man, especially after that waste feud with The Game & Oprah. Also, I know for a fact that the only person 50 really give a damn about is himself.

50 needs to be more like Snoop Dogg and learn how to be a team player with anyone from all american hip-hop regions.

Because his shit isn't hip hop. His shit is rap. REAL Hip Hop Headz know what I speak of, so I'm sure you don't.

KRS-One IS Hip-Hop! He said so himself.

And Rakim is a champion that every MC wanna be like.

Amen to Rakim.

I know his album with Dre fell through, but he should have something coming out soon.

And *My Philosophy* by KRS-One is still one of my favorite hip hop songs of all time.

Numbers 3, 5, and 9 are trash and not even Hip Hop and shouldn't be on the list. Missy shouldn't even be on the list either.

2.Nelly-Nellyville
3.Outkast-Speakerboxx/The Love Below
4.Hustle & Flow Soundtrack
5.Eminem-The eminem Show
