What albums did you consider to be funk classics from the past 10 years.

Very Few spring to mind.

for me the best 5 funk albums from the past 10 years would be

1. Chromeo / Shes In Control

2. Prince / The Rainbow Children

3. Outkast / Spakerboxx/The Love Below

4. Plantlife / The Return Of Jack Splash

5. Daft Punk / Discovery.

I'd say Chromeo's album is as good a Funk record as you'll.

For me it's up there with Zapp, Cameo, The Time etc.

Some great New Wave Funk.

When folks start making only music with the most mass appeal....adult contemporary R&B and shit hop.

Damn right. As much as I love funk and have bitched about today's music being boring. So many people have recommended me new music (only for it to turn out to be boring slow shit). So when someone recommends Chromeo, I hear it, and I say that I like it.....you know it's funky.
