So this is working out well...Bowie "Hunky Dory" Round 2 [ROUND CLOSED] Thanks for participating everyone. Things are off to a good start. Good choices. Great discussion.
And from some of the responses and orgnotes sent to me, we've already gotten some others interested in checking out his work. So this first round was pretty clear cut. And I have to admit I agree with the choice. With at total of 11 votes (more than twice the runner-up), "Fill Your Heart" must leave us today. Being that it's a cover, fortunately it won't be too missed. For Round 2, we have the following to choose from: 1. Changes 2. Oh! You Pretty Things 3. Eight Line Poem 4. Life On Mars? 5. Kooks 6. Quicksand 8. Andy Warhol 9. Song for Bob Dylan 10. Queen Bitch 11. The Bewlay Brothers Choose well. We'll have another round ready to go by this time tomorrow. Eight Line Poem.
I've still got another two tracks before "Dylan".

That's one of the two tracks before "Dylan" on my list. I can't get with the last minute or so of "Bewlay".

i'd agree with that, but i heard a really nice live version on a BBC radio broadcast circa "heathen", and i warmed up to that song after hearing bowie's little schpiel about how hard it is to remember the lyrics.

It's a very creative song. The lyrics are pretty crazy, and the freeform way they're sung probably makes it harder to remember. My Legacy

The threads are usually torture when we are talking about great bowie masterpieces!
It's so difficult 2 choose

Eight Line Poem. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

BTW, we have 222 days of doing this ahead of us, not counting Stage and David Live.

I'm only in through 'Aladdin Sane'. I'd like to see how many people participate for the Tin Machine stuff.

That song is amazing! I agree. It's the unhinged sister to "Quicksand". Love it.

Whoa. Let's not jump ahead too much or we're likely to get intimidated and quit now. One album at a time.

I'm gonna have to go with "Song For Bob Dylan" as well.
It's not a bad song, but it's definitely weak compared to what surrounds it.

And I must say that I wish "Bombers" had been included on the album instead of "Fill Your Heart".
