In honor of Bowie's 60th birthday, I think it's about time to start this up again.

Anx and I attempted this last year. But like the ADHD fools that we are, we lost steam during "The Man Who Sold The World". Lots of folks didn't know his early albums well and didn't vote. But I think it's safe to say that "Hunky Dory" is where he got good. REALLY good.

He started tempering his wordy, hippy-dippy singer-songwriter tendencies with a strong sense of pop songcraft, strange arrangements, psycho-sexual lyrical themes, a better fashion sense, more stage presence and an all around better schtick.

Let's keep this fast and furious and not dwell too long on each round. I'll try to update this with a new one each day. So approx. 24 hours for each elimination. The first one I'll give until Tuesday afternoon so that y'all catch on.

I'll reserve my vote until later on, so as not to influence the proceedings too much.

hmmmm, it's not my first choice, but i do agree with the majority - "fill your heart" is among the obvious weakest links on this album. so yeah.
