Yeah, the original got a lot of regional play back in '78. But nothing compares to Blondie. That reminds me - Sinead - Nothing Compares 2 U.

I don't like her version of it at all, but I absolutely HATE the original with the heat of 1000 suns! Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! She's good at covers. I'll throw in anything that Joan Jett or Grace Jones covered, except for "Private Life". Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I'll throw in anything that Joan Jett or Grace Jones covered, except for "Private Life". Didn't know you recognized! Her cover of "She's Lost Control" can't touch the original either. But it's just as entertaining! I love Annie's "Medusa" album although I'm not familiar with several of the originals.

I love SC's too. I liked her vocals. But I think they got the instrumental just right on Rod's. Very delicate, understated, layered and rhythmic. She tried to replicate the 70's production, but....it sounded like 00's Pro Tools. I donno, there was something off about the instrumental. [Edited 1/4/07 17:08pm]

Well, it's on her Greatest Hits and I think there's the radio version and one that's more country flavored.
