60s Flashback Album of the Day ...Johnny Winter Favorite tracks: I'm Yours and I'm Hers Be Careful With a Fool Good Morning Little Schoolgirl And he gives an exceptionally soulful vocal rendering of I'll Drown in My Tears. How weird, I just discovered that today is his birthday. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 2/23/07 18:02pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Nice Reachback!!!! So where d'you put him in the guitar panthenon? ... Thanks. I would say through these 4 albums (including the one from the original post), of the "recycled blues" cats (and you know what i'm saying without actually saying it), he was right near the top. Second Winter gets contributions from his brother Edgar. It was a rather unique vinyl release as it was a double album that only had material on 3 sides. The last album is a more of a Blues/Rock album (done with what used to be known as The McCoys). A very good dual-guitar album for its time. Rick Derringer (actually Zehringer) holds his own on guitar. After that, he got the Rock & Roll bug for a spell and I didn't keep up with him any longer. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 2/23/07 18:54pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
