While a blizzard continues to rage in Colorado, Mariah Carey raises a glass to the holiday season in Aspen on Wednesday. The singer visits the ski resort for Christmas every year, telling the local Aspen Resort Magazine, "I have a sense of feeling at home there."

Those spikey-heeled boots don't look very safe in the snow.

I know she only drinks champagne and I recognize a glass when I see one. I wonder what kind she's drinking.

i can't tell 100% from the pic, but i think that's yet another manolo (blahnik) twist on a timbaland boot. i've have a few pairs for years, and believe it or not they are sturdy as hell. the heel is thick enough to balance and the sole has a rubber grip sole so comfy, you can practically stomp around in those things like combat boots

the only thing which looks crazy to me is the fact that she has her chest exposed in a snowfall. if its cold enough to be snowing outside then its cold enough to have her chest and neck area covered so so doesn't catch pneumonia

Doesn`t she pose for christmas pictures every year and post them on a website?

I'm sorry, but given that its a blizzard going on, I'm still struck how, as a SINGER Mariah is out there tetons uncovered. I live next to the Norwegian and Scandanavian countries where its warmer if not nearly as cold now as it is there, and I can't fathom why she insists on flashing her chest area when its so risky healthwise....but on second look, she's not rocking a TIM, rather than a simple platform boot: those would be easy to traverse in if she had a cobbler adjust the bottom for traction. but still easy to move around in with that thick heel and sole.
