I hope it's not true, my two favorites artists now doing Vegas, it would just be so uncool..

but, I guess the money is too good.

I hear you. Prince is "mr safe" now. I hope Michael doesn't settle down in vegas. Its admiting defeat in a way and an easy way out. I hope Mike is better than that.

I just find it strange that as soon as Prince is in Vegas that all of a sudden MJ decides to come back to the states. Reminds me of back in '84 (?)when Mike's physical appearance started changing, around the same time Prince got real popular and Purple Rain came out. The media compared the two and ask which one is the real king of pop, although they both have totally different styles so you really can't compare them.

I like MJ, but to be in Vegas the same time as Prince I really don't know. Maybe he'll only be there while Prince is on tour, if there is a tour. But murph you are right, we should embrace these 2 musicians. I am surely grateful that we have both of those artists and the music they have given us over the years.

But I still say Prince should bring the 3121 club with the Jazz Cuisine to the
East Coast too. nod(Atlantic City, NJ that is)

You know I was thinking the same thing. It would be cool for Prince to do both coasts.

As for MJ and Vegas, it's whatever. His fans will still act like rabid animals no matter where he is and he will still do the same robotic dance he's been doing since 1983 and charge people an arm and a leg to see him do it too so I'm not going to get excited about it based on all of that alone.

BUT if someone paid for my ticket, I won't say no. boxed

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Defeat from a more risky career of touring and plugging and making albums and music videos. Doing vegas is where the washed up go

Tom Jones
Celine Dion
Elvis

They may of still been making hits, but vegas is the cushy, easy way out. Playing to rich snobs who are not really bothered if your playing or not. It's all money and business, no heart, which is why its surprising prince does this really.

well after a month and a half worth of shows, and concert reviews from those who attended, myself include, i could say that your last paragraph does not hold true. Why? Prince's setup is not like a Tom Jones or Celine. It's a temporary thing...he setup a really nice restaurant where folks could eat before or after the concert. He's providing intimate aftershows, jamming until the early morning. Showcasing really cool bands on Wednesdays, which is free entertainment for Vegas locals. Noone who attended can say that he's just playing to rich folks who don't care about the music, because that's not the case.

I say this because, I've learned that Vegas can be a good thing if its temporary, and you bring something unique, innovative and different to the table, rather than do the same ole stage show night after night.

Sounds OK its its temporary only I guess. Its up to Prince what he does of course, and maybe he needs the money, but even after what you've said, Vegas always stands for cheesiness and tackiness. Where bright lights attract you like shit attracts flies. But we all know Prince can perform pretty much 100% everytime, so no doubt your getting a good show, which is all that matters in a way.

I don´t want him to do it. Vegas is too far for me to visit. wink
I would prefer him to be in studio and do some album.....

What bullshit excuses? Unlike you haters, WE go by FACTS. We don't subscribe to bullshit rumors, innuendo, manipulation and SPIN. We actually followed every single instance of these bullshit allegations. We know what was said in the courtroom via court transcripts,by actually being in court, following the bullshit timeline that the prosecutors conjured up and the totally ridiculous "allegations" of the accuser, not victim. Therefore, the excuses come from people who don't know WTF they are talking about and are just speaking out of malicious hate. It's alright to dislike MJ for your own selfish reason; but to call him a "pedophile" and NOT know the facts is just plain ignorant and gullible. Be able to back up your claim or STFU. You can bet that WE(fans) certainly have more than "excuses" to back up our assertion that Michael is INNOCENT and always has been. What do you have other that your personal "hate"?

Go Skyecute! It's your birthday! Big pimpin! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin thumbs up! cool

You people are gullible. You put waaay to much stock into defending someone who wouldn't give 2 shits about you if he met you on the street neutral

Why is that such a surprise? At the end of the day Prince is a multi-millionaire like all the rest of these cats that have had long careers, and you can best believe he's going to do whatever he needs to do to keep his coffers filled to the rim, public pleasing music or not:-?
