The 1988 - 1989 Billboard Pop Chart A few years ago (when I was all Napster crazy, downloading anything and everything ) I set out - with the aid of the Billboard charts - to compile a list of as many songs as I could, roughly from the fall 1988 through spring 1989. Mind you this list was to be all inclusive and not limited to songs I only liked. This list is by no means complete and I can't recall if I ever made it through to the summer. I'm too lazy to type it all out, so I took a few screen caps of the play list. This is what I came up with:
Only one Prince song! ... [Edited 12/21/06 11:39am]

:thesexofit: Yeah, there's a lot of bad in there. Lots of power ballads in there, too. That said, Sweet Child O' Mine is one of my fave songs ever, so its' got that going for it. Now about that Baby I Love Your Way remake...

Did you audition for the Arsenio Hall cameo in the video for Straight Up? Uh b-b-bye bye b-b-b-b-bye bye!

was 'Like A Prayer' one of your first purchases? No, because my brother had it. I used to listen to it all the time, though. "Oh Father" made me a fan! Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Uh b-b-bye bye b-b-b-b-bye bye! Nothing to be sheepish about. They did some good simple fun Pop tunes. They weren't trying to hard, heavy or hip. (You do know that it's Hip to be Square don't you?) It's seems they were trying to up their game a bit with the... ...Small World album. Couldn't understand the Hall/Abdul connection for the life of me. I guess that was an early insight into her later lunacy but she was so fine back then I chose to ignore it. Yeah, it should have been me. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."
