I just picked up a copy of Bootsy's 1980 album Ultra Wave. I flipped the cd over to see Bootsy on the back, wearing a purple leather jacket with the silver studs on it a'la the Purple Rain Jacket Prince had! Did Prince rip off the Boosty jacket idea from Ultra Wave? Or were these jackets just floating around in the early 80's?
