I'm really digging this cd now. I can listen to it all the way through but my fave tracks are..

wind it up
don't get it twisted
flourescent

it's a great album is you have the patience to let it sink it! the songs are very catchy.

They ripped off housequake again! This sounds like a sister record to Mariah's "Say Somethin' they both have that housequake sound.

Yeah the album has grown on me too, didnt think it would because I hated it at first..I loved L.A.M.B when it come out, but grew sick of it easily, this album might end up getting more play. but there are still 4 or so songs that will never grow, like "Breaking up" and "Orange county girl"

i know what you mean. this might have more staying power for me as well. i used to skip a few tracks on LAMB but not so much on this one. I have a question, on the song "breaking up" does your cd sound like it's actually breaking up? i think my copy maybe defective but i thought it could be really that way because of what the song is about, like maybe it's an effect.

you don't like orange county girl?

not quite sure what you mean by a housequake sound but you think it sounds similar to say something? i may have to listen out for this later today when i play it again.

i like the record a lot. i don't love it, like i do LAMB, but i like it a lot. the title track, wind it up, and yummy are probably my faves so far. the only tracks i don't care for are orange county girl and breaking up.

I think 4 songs are great, a few more are decent, and some are dreadful. Completely mixed!

I have to admit, that's the first one that made me stop in my tracks and think, "wow, I hate this"

I think it's an improvement over L.A.M.B. (and I quite enjoyed it). I think "The Sweet Escape" is still my overall favorite, so far.

i think i've come to the conclusion that LAMB had some great singles on it but as an entire album I think the Sweet Escape is stronger. i used to skip quite a few tracks on LAMB but not so much on this one. i also got burnt out on LAMB pretty fast since I loved it straight away. this one will probably have more staying power with me.

Totally agree! I can also listen to it too...well except for the 1st track. But the songs are VERY catchy. It is a departure from the last one..quite.

My favs...

Sweet Escape - THIS should be the next single
Orange County Girl
Yummy
Don't get it twisted
Wonderful Life

Breaking up is a cool song...esp the lyrics (not crazy about the hicuping singing of the chorus) I need to check my copy and see if it breaks up or not. I don't think it does...though it might as there are all kinds of sound efx on the album.

There's a song called "Candyland" missing from the set. I got mine bootlegged on2 my ipod and the real one is missing this track. It is a hott Neptunes Arabic flavored track with whispery vocals and kinda Princey

I know she sang it on tour, so I suppose it might become a single. TSE and OCG both would make good singles. I think OCG is a little bit slow for a second single and there is nothing too bombastic about it...and she normally picks the ones with the crazy hooks. Anyway, Those songs would make good singles along with WOnderful Life.
