I like Smoothe Criminal from that album as well, and since it came after I would say that was his last great video/song.

There were a couple great songs from "Dangerous" but its hard for me to consider any of the videos great because he was aready so freakish looking.

But I have to agree on Dirty Diana - - - - great song. I always loved it. I was looking at the CD-Single at Tower Records the other night and laughing my ass off at Michael trying to look tough, and Steve Stevens with his leather and 16 1/2 inch hair. Oi!!!!! lol

This is about where my Jacko fandom ends also; I did really like 'Who Is It' and 'Give In To Me' (which was pretty much Dirty Diana part deux, anyway). Actually, this is probably my favorite MJ song, although a big part of that is probably due to Steve Stevens.

With different production, I probably could've liked that song. Those kids in the background (ill), and that one loop that keeps getting played throughout the song really ruin it for me.

Yeah the kids part does suck. I also used to like "Butterflies" Until Floetry came out with their own version that sounded better then Michael's.

It was songs like DD that started to put me off Michael's music. I didn't like Beat It either. Rock music doesn't suit Michael vocals, probably that's why he sounds so strained nowadays.

In terms of latest works, I think "Blood On The Dance Floor" is pretty tough. That song is really good IMO, and maybe with different production more people would agree with me. If you don't like it, try finding some sheet music or tabs for it and strip it back a bit and appreciate the beauty of each instrumental part, appreciate the beauty of the chord progression, go in and analyse the lyrics, they are deep man. There is so much more to the song than what's on the surface. But I love it and I think it's Michael's best latest song.

That's the same thing that I was thinking. WTF is "Wacko Jacko"? I don't have a single album by anyone with that name, and I certainly haven't seen an album in any store by a "Wacko Jacko".

Couldn't agree more. However, I would have to add "You Rock My World" and "Whatever Happens" to that list. The last great video for me was "YRMW." I loved that video. I just wish that there had been a follow-up to this song and video.

I hated the video for "You Rock My World", it was so unoriginal. Even the dance sequence, which is suppose to be the highlight of every Michael Jackson video was unoriginal, it was the exxact same dance routine he uses for "Dangerous". Plus he looked fucked up, and he knew it, he was always trying to hide his face by his fedora, it was terrible. The only think good about the video was that Michael knocked someone out. Apart from that, very unoriginal and terrible video. But, good song all the same.

The video was rushed. It wasn't ALL Michael's fault. He really wanted to do a big video for "Unbreakable" as the first single. At one time it was rumored Mel Gibson was rumored to somehow even be working on the video on some level. However, Sony didn't care what Michael wanted for a first single and went with, "You Rock My World." To make matters worse, the video's budget wasn't enough to do with the song, what Michael wanted to do. And the production/shooting was rushed to get the thing on air in time. As would be the fate for the "Cry" video, Sony gave Michael a crap budget, so the video didn't even feature him in it, in the end. Lastly there was a plan for a video for "Butterflies" planned when the single took off in urban radio. However, Michael again wanted a lot of money to make a MJ-FANTASTIC video, and Sony wasn't interested in footing the bill, so the video didn't happen. Bummer. sad

I REALLY wanted to see the video for "One More Chance." Just another reason I don't like Thomas Sneddon and that punk kid Gavin. mad

Oh well, in short, While "You Rock My World" was pretty much everything you said, it wasn't ALL Michael's fault.

I loved the concept for YRMW. I loved the fact that it was a "playful" nod to Smooth Criminal and other MJ videos. The dancing was great;albeit the dance sequences were much, much too short. That was my only criticism of the video. I really enjoyed MJ's interaction with the lady in the video. His flirting was cute. The addition of Chris Tucker in the video made it just that much more special.

I LOVED "Stranger In Moscow"-the song and the video. The song is brilliant. I remember the music critic in my city's local newspaper going absolutely crazy over that song and talking about Michael's genius at composing it. Beautiful cinematography and the hauntingly beautiful music just makes this video a winner, IMO. Btw, I think that the video for "Whatever Happens" from Invincible would have been equally as great if it had been released.

Someone on photoshop or final cut pro, should just paste Michael's head on Michelle Branch's body in one of her 2 videos with Santana, or the Rob Thomas video with Santana for "Smooth." Cus like a friend of mine and me always joke, "All Santana videos these days look the exact same." lol lol lol

Steve Stevens guitar solo at about 4:11 in the video is very similar to the rif in Corey Hart's 'Sunglasses at Night' at about 1:20
