Surprisingly, that song I've never been too keen on. I'd take the Pointer Sister's "Automatic" and the entire "Break Out" album over the Footloose soundtrack. But, moviewise, I wish the FAST FORWARD (1985) soundtrack was available on CD. Schitt, I'd buy a bootleg. My family used to play the Footloose soundtrack a lot back in '84. I don't think I liked any song on it so it would annoy me to no end. I agree I'd rather listen to the Pointer Sisters' 'Breakout' album. I haven't heard "Neutron Dance" in years.

While I don't think it's cheesy at all, Luther Vandross' I Wanted Your Love is overflowing with lots of synth in the very best way. My fave on that record.

I recently bought this album on vinyl, mainly for the track "Make Me A Believer",one of the most amazing songs that Luther has ever done but you're right, the uptempo songs are very synth-y.Remember the first single "I'll Let You Slide"?

Whoa, I haven't seen Donna Allen in I don't know how long. This song was rockin' and she was a wild sista. It's so nice to be among those who recall my youth. [Edited 12/15/06 9:42am] I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

"You're in my system"- The System ( They also did Scritti's "Perfect Way")

If you'd prefer a comp... ...this one's a goodie. Very synthy and most of it very Euro-sounding. Not everything's up and happy like Blinded Me With Science but it's all very good music. The Aliens Ate My Buick album is more organic and the funkiest as he uses a full American band. I'm sure you'd get into tunes like... Radio Silence Europa and The Pirate Twins Commercial Breakup One of Our Submarines White City Hyperactive! Airhead Hot Sauce Budapest by Blimp I Love You Goodbye I Live in a Suitcase That's Why People Fall in Love Urges tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 This is such a good list. Thanks much for this. I'm in the process of getting a lot of these tracks together. Stay tuned.
