I'll cheat and say that I think Elton John's new album is the best pop work i've heard this year. I'm not kidding, give it a listen.

Pop really isnt POP anymore, to me PCD,Madonna did the best in that field this year, but the UK seems to still be the best at the POP thing, with groups like the Sugababes and of course Girls ALoud, along with the new George Michael collection it doesnt get more POP than that.

Me too, i was really suprised. He really did deliver the goods with this record and it's a shame it isn't selling that well, but at least the reviews have been great.

I wasnt surprised because Elton has been on an amazing roll of quality albums since Songs From the West Coast. Im actually not surprised at the low sales, i didnt know this, but he had some sort of issues with Universal and pricing, along the same line as the what the Scissor sisters did, accept Eltons issue was with the label itself, so alot of stores didnt receive the album upon its release, some got limited copies, and some never got it.

The Veronicas - 4 Ever

Oddly enough I can't stand Pink's "U + Ur Hand" which is musically the same song.

I'd say "Crazy" -Gnarls Barkley. Yeah, I know it's an easy answer but hey, I don't listen to that much pop radio, and not too much stands out from what I've heard.

Elton destroyed his appeal with the public, since he started being a flaming queen.

The album's are great, the personality of the man is not

To be honest I haven't listened to Songs from the West Coast or Peachtree Road so this is my first Elton album in a long time. His 80s- 90s run was incredibly patchy with maybe 2 good songs on each and the rest throwaway. I'll have to listen to the previous 2 though.

(minus the Jojo lol ) I like your list!
How could I forget my precious Black Sweat? I used to hear it non-stop at
work in the spring.

And this year Timbaland was a pop music machine cranking out beats for
alot of 2006's chart toppers
If you will, so will I
