Lohan to play Stevie Nicks

Lohan To Play Stevie Nicks?

Lindsay Lohan is the favorite to play the lead in an upcoming film about Stevie Nicks. The Mean Girls star will act and sing in the movie, which will focus on the Fleetwood Mac star's wild years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. An industry insider tells American publication Life & Style, "She feels like she's found a dream role in a story about Stevie Nicks at the height of Fleetwood Mac's fame. Lindsay loves the music of that era, and people have told her she has the same distinctive gravelly voice as Stevie's." Lohan, who also hopes to produce the biopic, even has a leading man in mind - her Chapter 27 co-star Jared Leto, who is slated to play Nicks' on/off lover Lindsey Buckingham.

That's catchy as hell, sos. And accurate. U know I love me some Stevie Nicks. Why on earth would they want to fuck up a positive thing with someone who has "I have issues" stamped in neon green letters across her forehead?

Pink looks nothing like Stevie (though she could play a mean Lindsey Buckingham) while Joss is about 14.

sounds to me like one of two things:

1)either pick an unknown who can ACTUALLY SING and knows the Fleetwood Mac Catalogue.study the music, moves, style of clothing, etc.

OR...

2)find an actress that can portray the life of a singer and pull it off well.

Example:Judy Davis Portraying Judy Garland. even though she lip-synched the songs i thought she did a great job.

Yup! But I would pick an actress since no one can sing like Stevie.

true, however the actress that's chosen can't be "too young"..but not "too old" either. she gotta show some "wear and tear" so to speak..you want to show a progression of the drugs taking their toll. make-up artists can do wonders too in that regard.

Uh...

Why not get some really great unknown actress--someone who has done Broadway.. who has had some sort of formal education AND/OR TRAINING and/or degree?? Someone who is really great.. REALLY GREAT for a change rather than someone who just creates buzz to sell a movie.

I'm just sick of mediocre talent being rewarded. Ah boy... I miss the time when Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Dustin Hoffman ruled.

I'm not suggesting that formal training is the end all be all because it's not. I guess I'm talking about people with depth. Johnny Depp doesn't seem to have a lot of formal training, but he has depth. And look at Bette Midler. I don't think she has a lot of formal training, but she has depth, too.

Lindsay Lohen just doesn't seem to have a lot of depth.
